    Roll Goods Glossary

  • We specialize in weaving high-performance fabric for reinforced rubber using premium fibers such as Kevlar, Nomex, Conex, Vectran, Teflon, polyester, and nylon

Experts in both Fabric for Reinforced Rubber and Adhesion
Warwick weaves, coats, and calendars specialty fabrics for reinforcement rubber. Not only do we have extensive knowledge on the best weaving construction to produce the best diaphragms, but also we have a chemical engineer who specializes in textile treatments of fabric for reinforced rubber goods.

    Substrates for Reinforced Rubber
When using textiles to reinforce rubber diaphragms, adhesion is critical. Adhesion is required to keep the rubber bonded to the fabric during operation of the diaphragm. Warwick's advanced textiles can give your diaphragm outstanding performance when subjected to heat, solvents, oil, water, abrasive slurries, and harsh chemicals. We custom formulate systems to bond to your specific elastomer that take into consideration the best fiber, weaving construction, and finishing opportunities.

Warwick is set up to solve problems in adhesion and reinforced rubber. We use proprietary materials based on Resorcinol Formaldehyde Latex (RFL), silanes, and isocyanates. In addition, we use selected bonding agents that increase the durability of your products. Warwick is set up to solve problems in adhesion.

Bottom line, our diaphragm fabrics offer better adhesion to rubber than any other fabric you can find. You'll also be able to offer your customers better performance and achieve less waste.

Working With You to Improve Your Manufacturing
We work with your compounders and other materials specialists to tailor a specific solution to improve your product. If you request assistance, our experts can offer valuable solutions to vastly improve your adhesion. Warwick can customize our textile construction and adhesives so that they work in your processes. RFL, isocyanate, polyurethane, and other advanced systems are readily available.

Timely, on-target response to your technical needs in fabric reinforced rubber is a major objective at Warwick.

    One-Stop Shopping Means Better Quality
You get better value when you order fabrics for reinforced rubber from Warwick, because we take care of everything in our main facility. Traditionally, textile finishing processes are handled by multiple manufacturers. First the yarn is twisted to prepare for manufacturing. Then the yarn is shipped to a weaver for processing. Then the material moves to a finisher who coats or laminates the materials into a finished product.

When adhesion is so critical to reinforced rubber, transport of the material is a source of vulnerability. Multiple handlers can result in contamination of the fabric, with poor adhesion being the result. Generally no one wants to accept responsibility. Products made at Warwick do not leave the plant at any time from weaving through adhesive treatments. In this way, we ensure that all processes remain under our tight control.

Warwick streamlines all these processes under one roof and has engineered new processes specifically designed to maximize performance at each stage. Vertical handling, from design of the engineered reinforcement fabrics to the final finishing, is now available at our facility.

    ISO 9001 Certified
Our quality system throughout our facility ensures an exceptional degree of consistency to your specific needs and provides an unmatched level of customer service.
