Protection up to 2800 bar or 40,000 psi
TurtleSkin WaterArmor personal protective equipment offers increased safety for UHP water jet operators at all pressures at specified flow rates.

Modular Design with Replaceable Parts—Buy Only What You Need
TurtleSkin WaterArmor is made up of multiple panels that can be replaced individually. Chaps, gaiters, upper torso, and arm protection panels are all sold separately, so you can purchase only the components that you need.

One Size Fits All
Each TurtleSkin WaterArmor garment features adjustable straps. The thigh panels on the chaps can be lengthened or shortened to fit the height dimensions of any operator.

Open Back Keeps You Cooler
Water jetting is tiring, difficult work. TurtleSkin WaterArmor's unique design provides extensive protection to the front of the operator while the open back allows for increased air circulation.

Built-in Knee Pad for Added Protection and Comfort
TurtleSkin WaterArmor's chaps have cushioned knee pads that protect knees from UHP water jet streams and reduce the discomfort of kneeling on hard surfaces.

Lightweight Suit Protects Operator and Boosts Productivity
TurtleSkin's patented technology features the tightest weave ever achieved with aramid fibers, which produces a highly-protective material that is both lightweight and comfortable to wear. Both factors reduce operator fatigue and boost productivity.

Hinged Panel Design For Greater Flexibility
WaterArmor's patented fabric system bends with the body. Each panel moves independently, allowing for greater flexibility and ease of use.

Tough Material Is Easy to Maintain
Covering the TurtleSkin WaterArmor system is a rugged outer layer that provides improved chemical resistance. This exterior is low-maintenance and easy to clean.

UHP Water Jetting Safety
Ultra-High Pressure (UHP) water jetting, also known as waterblasting, works by forcing water through a perfectly timed nozzle, creating water pressures ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 psi. Applications include concrete hydrodemolition, surface preparation, pavement maintenance, tank cleaning, heat exchanger cleaning, and pipe cleaning.

In many areas, water jet cleaning systems are replacing the use of sandblasters as a more cost effective and environmentally sound alternative. Water is easier to recover and recycle than contaminated sand. The power of a water jet also offers new solutions to cleaning and preparing surfaces in difficult or confined spaces where the use of sandblasting would not be practical or possible.

For difficult projects such as concrete removal or steel structure demolition, many contractors now use hydrodemolition or hydroblasting methods instead of jackhammers, particularly when precision is critical. Protection for the UHP water jet operators who perform these tasks is becoming increasingly important as usage increases.

The industries that use UHP water jetting must adopt and follow strict safety practices. Unprotected operators have been severely injured on the job with an accidental swipe of the water jet stream. Contaminants carried by the water can make the smallest of cuts susceptible to infection.

Water jet safety warning   Read the following information before using any TurtleSkin WaterArmor product.
It could save your life!

Performance Levels
The protective performance of WaterArmor depends on multiple factors, such as water pressure, water flow, nozzle diameter and construction, distance between jet and protective equipment, and contact time (swipe speed of the jet). Under extreme circumstances (high pressure, high flow, close distance, and low speed) WaterArmor may not provide full protection.

Never intentionally hit anyone with a stream of high pressure water. This garment will not protect against a stationary blast. Garment is designed to lessen injury from a quick swipe only. WaterArmor cannot prevent all injuries from high pressure water, even if worn properly.

If properly worn, garment may lessen severity of injury from accidental exposure to a water jet (less than 1/2 sec.). Injury severity will depend on water pressure, water flow rate, distance from nozzle, length of exposure time, and type of nozzle. Low pressure applications may be more dangerous than higher pressure applications due to greater water flow.

WaterArmor PPE panels are intended to provide protection to front of worker's body; all other portions of garment offer no protection. Garment will not protect from jets originating from below, above, from the side, or behind the operator.

• INSPECT garment before each use for damage or loss of protection.
• Discontinue use if fabric becomes worn, abraded, punctured, or fasteners break.
• DO NOT expose to pH below 5.5 or higher than 8.5.
• Rinse immediately if exposed.
• Wash or decontaminate with soft cloth and mild detergent.
• DO NOT store garment in chemical atmosphere.
• DO NOT use bleach.

It is the user's responsibility to determine proper personal protective equipment needed in each circumstance. Garments should be worn in strict accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
